William (Bill) H. Bricker April 7, 1939 - April 22, 2009 Resident of Sunnyvale
Bill passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at the VA Hospital in
Palo Alto. He is survived by his long time companion Shirley Talley of
Sunnyvale, his daughters Lori Cox of San Ramon, and Julie Ortega of Castro
Valley, sons-in-law Steven Cox and Robert Ortega, and grandchildren Michelle
Nichols, Amanda Cox, Daniel Ortega and Ariana Ortega. Bill is also survived by
four brothers, three sisters, many nieces, nephews, and loving friends. Dad was
a loving father, adoring grandfather, and a loyal and dedicated friend. He was a
proud veteran of the marine Coprs., and avid A's fan, and loved the outdoors. He
loved fishing, and enjoyed annual trips to Spring Training in Arizona with his
family and friends. Dad was also a 28 year member of AA, and devoted 15 year
member of the Kairos Prison Ministry of Northern California. Dad had a deep
faith in God that he shared with everyone. He was our spiritual beacon and we
will miss him deeply. Semper Fi Daddy! Family and friends are invited to attend
a visitation on Monday, May 4, 2009 from 5:00 - 8:30 pm with a vigil at 7:00 pm
at Holy Angels Funeral & Cremation Center, 1051 Harder Rd, Hayward, CA.
Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Grace
Catholic Church, 3433 Somerset Ave., Castro Valley, CA. Burial to follow at
Golden Gate National Cemetery, 1300 Sneath Lane, San Bruno, CA. Holy Angels
