Allen D. Riemer
Allen D. Riemer A native of Sunnyvale and longtime resident of Corralitos, died
peacefully at his home on Friday, December 12 at age 82. Son of Andy and Leona
Riemer of Sunnyvale, brother of Robert Riemer of Bonita, Allen is survived by his wife
MaryAnn; three children, Christy Pawlovich of Yorba Linda, Gary Riemer of Capitola and
R. Kirk Riemer of Half Moon Bay; and six grandchildren. Mr. Riemer served in the US
Navy during WW2. He was a member of the Sunnyvale Volunteer Fire Department and
enjoyed a fulfilling 30 year career with the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety. In
1979 he retired from his position as the Fire Division Commander to relocate to
Watsonville. There he and his wife built their dream home and shared 28 golden
retirement years. He was an active member of the Sunnyvale Lions and the Watsonville
Elks Clubs. There will be a private family service this week. Donations in his memory
are preferred and may be made to Hospice of Santa Cruz County or the Corralitos
Woman's Club Scholarship Fund.
