Georgia Ann Carter
Georgia Ann Carter 98, of Sunnyvale, CA died July 29, 2008 in Mountain View, CA. She was born June 1, 1910 in Grizane, Yugoslavia and grew up in St. Louis, MO. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Sidney M. Carter. She is survived by her son Sid Jr. and grandson Danny. Georgia was a Captain in the Women's Army Corps from 1943-1947. She was a volunteer for the Red Cross for 52 years. She also arranged flowers for the Filoli Center for 20 years. Full Military graveside services will be held Aug. 6, 2008 at 11am at Alta Mesa Memorial Park, Palo Alto, CA. Donations may be made in memory of Georgia A Carter to either the Red Cross, Palo Alto Chapter, 400 Mitchell Ln, Palo Alto, CA 94301 or the Filoli Center, 86 Cañada Rd, Woodside, CA 94062 650-364-8300.
