John Hynds Age 48, of Sunnyvale, CA, formerly of Champaign, IL died at 3:01 AM PST at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, CA. John was born March 20, 1960 in Urbana, IL to Edward and MaryAnn Hynds Jr. John is survived by his wife, Joyce Kelly, and daughter, Thaïs Kelly; father Edward Hynds (Sandy); three brothers: Richard, Patrick (Mary), and twin brother Michael (Carrie), all of Champaign, IL; two sisters, Elizabeth of Champaign, IL and Margaret of Castro Valley, CA; several nieces and nephews and many close friends. John attended Champaign schools at St. Matthew's and Bottenfield Grade School, Edison Junior High, and Central High School. John was an avid reader, enjoyed camping, skiing and the mountains, fishing, coin collecting, and helping family members. His selfless contributions to his family and friends were unconditionally and quietly carried out throughout his lifetime. His wonderful sense of humor will be missed, as he could always put a smile on anyone's face. John was a friend of Bill W. and celebrated many anniversaries. An accomplished carpenter, John was a member of Carpenters Local #44 of Champaign and, in most recent years, Hayward, CA Local #713. John worked with Specialties Etc. of San Francisco where he will be missed by his co-workers. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service Sunday, September 7th at 1:00 P.M. at LIMA & CAMPAGNA SUNNYVALE MORTUARY, 1315 Hollenbeck Ave, Sunnyvale.
